Fall is definitely here as we enjoy the beauty of the Niagara Escarpment, bursting with it's red and gold foliage, as daylight hours grow shorter, leaving a crispness in the night air.
Here at Niagara Falls Grand Dinner Theatre, rehearsals will soon be drawing to a close, as we get ready for another fulfilling production ahead. Opening on November 6th and running to December 19th, we present Canada's most-produced playwright Norm Foster's hilarious "Self Help". Cast with some of our area's best professional comedic actors and directed by Diane Harris-Wakeling, this comedic gem centres around a married couple of second-rate dinner theatre actors, who, tired of the grind of the dinner theatre circuit, re-invent themselves as renowned self-help gurus. All goes well, until their lives start to unravel in a farce, as they try to conceal a body and hold onto their falsely won fame and fortune. To this mix, we add a brassy, over-bearing agent, a bumbling maid, an ascerbic detective and a sneaky investigative journalist, who is determined to expose the couple as the frauds they are! Put this all together in one fun-filled performance and you have another enjoyable Niagara Falls Grand Dinner Theatre experience!

Chef Sidney puts his culinary touch on a plated three-course menu especially prepared for our productions, which includes a seasonal soup, bread basket, a choice of three delicious entrees and an enticing dessert, plus tea, coffee or soft drinks. Special attention will be paid to accommodate specific dietary restrictions, if our Box Office is advised at the time your reservation is made.
The renowned and dazzling Niagara Falls spectacle, the Winter Festival of Lights, coincides with our production of "Self Help", so be sure to take in both events! Should you choose to attend one of our Friday evening performances during this time, our intermission following Act One will be especially timed, to afford you a first-class view of the Winter Festival's spectacular fireworks extravaganza!
Looking ahead, we are happy to have "Maggie's Getting Married", another of Foster's much-loved comedies waiting in the wings to open our Spring 2010 season. In this play, Foster shows us exactly what can run amok, as an ordinary family prepares for the long awaited nuptials of their daughter Maggie …
