Norm Foster's “Maggie's Getting Married”, is chock full of good humour, encouraging some good old fashioned, right out loud laughter, along with a hefty dose of life’s realizations that we can all recognize. These are the attributes that you can come to expect in every Foster piece & why we enjoy bringing the work of Canada’s most produced playwright to you. A romantic comedy, Maggie’s Getting Married takes place on the night before “the big day” & shows us exactly what can run amuck, as an ordinary family prepare for the long awaited nuptials of their daughter Maggie. Director Diane Harris-Wakeling has perfectly cast six talented actors, bringing some familiar faces, as well as a new face to our stage. This includes Meredith Simon, John Williams, Jesse Wright, Heather Sargeson & Peter Mitchell, all Niagara Falls Grand Dinner Theatre Alumnae from seasons past & welcoming Georgia Lee Schultz to our roster of talented professionals.

Chef Sidney has once again put his unique culinary touches on a plated three-course menu especially for this production, which includes a seasonal soup, French baguette & butter, a choice of three delicious entrees & an enticing dessert, plus unlimited tea, coffee or soft drinks. Special attention will be paid to accommodate specific dietary restrictions, when our Box Office is advised in advance.
All this takes place at our beautiful theatre home, Edgewaters, Queen Victoria Place, 6345 Niagara River Parkway, the Niagara Parks Commission’s exquisite venue overlooking world famous Niagara Falls. We offer onsite complimentary parking for both cars & motor coaches, during our main stage productions, with fully accessible facilities for those needing them. We can accommodate parties of two to one hundred & twenty two & everything in between, still allowing good sightlines to both the stage & the magnificent Falls, just outside our panoramic windows. It’s the perfect way to celebrate Birthdays & Anniversaries or just a fun night out with family or friends! For large parties we offer a special group rate & remember, our Gift Certificates make the perfect gift! They never expire & one size fits all!
To accommodate the many requests we receive for another great interactive murder mystery comedy, the summer months will showcase “The Altos”by David Landau, an interactive musical comedy spoof of the highly successful HBO series The Sopranos! Meet the family that inspired it all, “The Altos”. “It’s Tony’s funeral (or is it?) & his wife Toffee has invited you to the wake! Chris wants you should check your weapons at the door & if you don’t got none … he`s got extras! You will come face to face with Uncle Senior, Tony’s Ma, the Nona, the family priest, Father Flip & Tony’s shrink the attractive Dr. Malaise. Be prepared to dodge a few bullets, laugh at the songs & see if you can figure out exactly who put a contract out on Tony!!! There’ll be prizes!! This innovative musical comedy gives us the opportunity to utilize some of the best vocal talent that Niagara has to offer & we are anxiously waiting to go into rehearsals in April. Meanwhile, we are happy as we watch Maggie getting ready for the altar & the surprises that unfold! So come join us & banish those winter blues as Maggie`s Getting Married.
